These Terms of Service govern your use of the Snailzy website at snailzy.com and your
subscription to our monthly snail mail service. By placing an order or subscribing, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Snailzy
Snailzy is a monthly snail mail subscription service for children ages 4 to 12, operated by Paula McFarlane in London, Ontario, Canada. Each month subscribers receive a flat envelope containing original characters, stories, crafts, stickers and surprises.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and subscribe to Snailzy. By subscribing you confirm that you are an adult and that any child receiving Snailzy packages has a parent or guardian who has agreed to these terms.

3. Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are billed on the same date each month. Your subscription continues automatically until you cancel. You may cancel at any time before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month. 

Annual subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment covering 12 months of Snailzy. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the first package has shipped. You may cancel your annual subscription at any time but no refund will be issued for the remaining months. 

Age groups
At the time of subscribing you will select an age group for your child: Ages 4 to 7 or Ages 8 to 12. If your child moves into a different age group, please contact us at hey@snailzy.com and we will update your subscription before the next package ships.

4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) for Canadian customers and United States dollars (USD) for US customers. Prices are subject to change. Any price changes will be communicated to existing subscribers before they take effect. 

Payment is processed securely through Shopify and Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on the schedule applicable to your plan.

5. Shipping
Packages are mailed on the first Wednesday of each month via Canada Post or USPS
lettermail. Shipping is included in the cost of all plans. Delivery typically takes 3 to 7 business days within Canada and 7 to 14 business days to the United States. Tracking is not included with standard lettermail.

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services. If a package does not arrive, please contact us at hey@snailzy.com and we will resend it at no charge.

6. Gifting
You may subscribe on behalf of a child at a different address. When gifting, you are responsible for providing the correct recipient name and delivery address. You may cancel a gift subscription at any time and the same cancellation terms apply as for regular subscriptions.

7. Cancellation
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time from your subscriber portal at
snailzy.com. No phone calls or explanations are required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to receive packages until that date.

8. Pausing
You may pause your subscription for up to 3 months from your subscriber portal. Your subscription will resume automatically after the pause period ends unless you cancel.

9. Intellectual Property
All content on snailzy.com and within Snailzy packages including characters, stories,
illustrations, comic strips and branding is the property of Snailzy and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any of this content without our written permission.

10. Kid Artist Program
By submitting artwork to the Kid Artist program, you grant Snailzy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to print, reproduce and distribute the artwork within Snailzy packages. You confirm that you are the parent or guardian of the child who created the artwork. Full terms are available at snailzy.com/pages/kid-artist-terms.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snailzy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of our service. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for your current subscription period.

12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
